BURNT OUT PROJECT
2021 Personal project
2020 was a tough year I think for everyone. As we entered into a new year there was so much promise of great things to come. I personally have worked throughout the pandemic, lucky enough to have been furloughed only for a short period right at the start, but many have not had that same privilege. February 2021 I looked back on how I felt. Honestly burnt out. I admire the keyworkers that have been working on the front line throughout and can only imagine the state of their mental health if I am feeling fed up with the current state of the world in my position. Of course being burnt out does not just apply to the employed. Mothers and fathers that have not had break from being ‘locked in’ with stir crazy children, the vulnerable that dare not leave their homes for fear of catching the virus and so many other circumstances I am sure that lend people wishing for things back to how they were.
A small illustration project on the last couple of days of a self isolation period. If I wasn’t drawing then I was taking a keen interest in the artexed ceiling in my bedroom…
